Fresh food is another of Serenbe’s natural assets, with a 25-acre organic farm, seasonal Saturday Farmer’s Market, thriving CSA program and edible landscaping, including blueberry bushes along paths and sidewalks. Year-round cultural events include outdoor theater from Serenbe Playhouse, culinary workshops and festivals, music events, films and lectures, boutique shopping, art galleries, a spa and trail riding, plus a robust Artist in Residence program featuring dinners and talks. Serenbe is a place you can enjoy for a meal, a weekend or call home for a lifetime.
The Backstory
The town of Palmetto was chartered by a State Legislative Act approved on February 18, 1854. The name is said to have been conferred upon this community by a company of South Carolina Soldiers enroute to the Mexican War. They said the community reminded them of their state, the “Palmetto State”. On January 1, 1932 Palmetto became part of Fulton County. – —————————– Chatt Hills is a small city just south of Atlanta Georgia that incorporated in 2007 to preserve and project the rural lands, heritage and culture of this area. With a population just under 3,000 living in a 56 sq-mile area, the land we love separates us in distance but also bonds us together to this place we call home.
